Donna’s Chocolate Chip Cookies

Our beloved neighbors gave me this recipe while they still lived next door. They have built a house over near her parents now, We miss ya. Donna and her husband ore very nice and good people. They are foster parents for years and there kids are great too. We love our neighbors even if they decided to move away…hehe joking we still love you. She made these cookies one night and sent a few over for us to try.  These are the best Chocolate Chip cookies i ever ate.

1 cup shortening

1 cup brown sugar

1/2 cups granulated sugar

2 eggs

2 tsp vanilla

1 tsp baking soda

2 cups all-purpose flour

1/4 tsp salt

1-1/4 to 2 cups Chocolate chips

Cream together shortening, sugar, eggs and vanilla. Mix in flour, baking soda, salt, and chocolate chips. Drop rounded tbsp onto ungreased cookie sheet. bake at 375 oven for 8 to 10 mins or until lightly golden. Cool on rack for a couple minutes then EAT
