Asparagus With Green Garlic

This was suggested to me from my nephew in NYC

When you sauté or roast asparagus in hot olive oil, the asparagus will have a much more concentrated flavor than it would if steamed or blanched. Here I add the garlic to the pan once the asparagus is just about done, so that the garlic cooks only long enough to soften and sweeten.

Donna’s Chocolate Chip Cookies

Our beloved neighbors gave me this recipe while they still lived next door. They have built a house over near her parents now, We miss ya. Donna and her husband ore very nice and good people. They are foster parents for years and there kids are great too. We love our neighbors even if they decided to move away…hehe joking we still love you. 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
1 cup milk
1 pinch salt
3 eggs
1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 tablespoon white sugar
12 thick slices bread

Measure flour into a large mixing bowl. Slowly whisk in the milk. Whisk in the salt, eggs, cinnamon, vanilla extract and sugar until smooth.   Heat a lightly oiled griddle or frying pan over medium heat.
Soak bread slices in mixture until saturated. Cook bread on each side until golden brown. Serve hot.
